BC Skiing out of Fort Collins, CO was created by NaPali
Just moved from the PNW to Fort Collins, and am anxious to ski/learn the area. Is anyone familar with the Cameron Pass area, or spots further east on HWY 14, and wouldn't mind sharing their beta?
I was happy to still be in the PNW for the first half of the winter

I miss Cameron Pass
At any rate, it has more touring options than you would think, but even the obvious ones are good. The bowls and trees of Montgomery pass are the Fort Collins standard, safe trip where you can almost always find someone to break trail with or spot you on the downhill. Don't go there and expect solitude in the main bowls. Sometimes the dogs playing in the snow there bring their humans along. Tour up and down the ridge to find your own stash. The south Diamond is a great ski, but can be exceedingly avalanche prone. Those are the obvious, short approach areas.
I'd tell you more, but people would track me down and hurt me. Just start exploring. The south side of Highway 14 offers some nice options as well.

Thanks Jason B! Much appreciated.
The snow has started back up here again this week, hopefully I can get away from the new job on the weekend. ???
