My guess is that this is mostly due simply to there being more people visiting the TRs, both members and lurkers. There's no doubt that the amount of "robots" visiting has increased, at least the kind that automatically registers in service of spammers, but I don't think those systematically go through the posts. I think that if a search engine robot visits a page, then the view count does go up, so search engines indexing the pages would increase the view count, but not sure how much this has increased. Some threads still get just a few views, even when kept at the top of the list (ie "spam and spammers"), so I would guess that threads with high view counts are largely being viewed by real people. cascadianwarrior: glad that you find the atmosphere conducive to participating!
