At the aforementioned party one student described a rather interesting research project he was hoping to do. It seems as though trees give off complex carbon molecules, especially so when temperatures are warm. (I would imagine this is why one's eyes burn in a forest on a hot day)

Anyway, the atmospheric gas Ozone, which is a byproduct of combustion among other sources, is very efficient at attaching to the dendritic branches of these Carbon molecules, which haven't been closely studied. So these molecules then become very important condensation nuclei as water is attracted to the branches of the aerosol form....

Read another source for atmospheric changes in a warming and more polluted environment.

I have developed the ability to attach four hydrogen atoms to a carbon atom, creating ch4 (methane). This has a nasty effect on the local atmosphere and is reported, sadly, to contribute to global warming. If only I could learn that dendrite trick, combining hydrogen and oxygen, - attaching to my ch4 base, then I could become a little snowmaking machine!

On the other hand, a longer carbon and hydrogen chain, combined with a little fluorine would give me a little ski wax. See.... if we created more ski wax, then that would lock up more carbon, leaving less to pollute the atomshpere. So, skiing helps fight global warming!
