Lost skis was created by sb
I lost a pair of 205 waxless Madshus Pellestovas, mounted with Salomon XA bindings, at the Anderson Cr Nordic skiing trailhead at the base of the road up to Mt Baker Ski Area. Probably they were taken by two snowboarders (green Accord, WA plates) parked next to me and hiking up the Anderson Cr. Rd. The boarders might well have had good intentions. If anyone sees these skis at a shop or offered for sale please contact me at: sbarnett123@eathlink.net. Thanks much.

I am troubled by this statement, can you please clarify. I feel it a bit off to make this generalization.
I thought that perhaps we have gotten past this stigma?

I don't mean prod, just hope you care to elaborate on the "good intentions"?

Cheers

... and I am troubled by this statement.  I, too, was curious about why Steve might think the boarders in the green accord might have taken the skis. I did not assume that I knew. Certainly it did not occur to me to suspect that perhaps Steve holds any prejudices toward folks who drive green Accords!

Look, I have nothing against snowboarders. These two were hiking up the groomed ski track, carrying one board, while I skiied down it, past them. I drove off without putting my skis or nordic race poles in the box on my car. I realized it quickly, took a few minutes to find a place to turn around, and headed back. When I got back (just a few minutes later) their car was gone and so were my skis or poles. I don't assume their motives were bad; maybe they just didn't know what to do. It's my fault that there was no ID on the skis. One reason for posting this is to maybe get word to them on who to call.

My friends have ribbed me for all the labels I put on my stuff. Usually I include my name and phone number. It finally paid off! A couple weeks ago I somehow lost the handle to my Life-Link shovel while in-bounds touring at Crystal. (Trying out my new skis.) Yesterday, CM Guest Services left me a message saying that they found a "probe" with my phone number on it. It was the shovel handle. What luck!

I hope the snowboarders see this thread and send you a message about your skis...
