I agree, sorry to speculate. Two wrongs don't make a right.
Don't apologize - no harm was done. Fact is, it could have been tree well or avalance, and we were just ruminating about which was more likely.
Spoke to some of my Canadian friends and Baker ski patrollers - this recieved a lot of airtime on BC radio stations, and it does sound like a tree well/impact was more likely.
