In fresh snow, as soon as I take a ski off, I snap the toepiece closed by hand and then open it back up. That just about always clears the snow out. If it is too solid for that ...

... whippet. Much handier than digging out a tool. They should be included with Dynafits as a necessary piece of equipment. They are also the tool of choice for clearing the volcano, pulling up the toe lock, flipping your skis from locked to freeheel mode, and other Dynaspecific chores.

I'm tellin' ya, ya just can't ski on Dynafits without a whippet! ;)

Good tips, many of which I use regularly.

Luckily, I never seem to have the need to dig ice out of the boot toe holes.  A contributing factor may be the grease.
I usually put a mini dollop of white lithium grease in the holes (I tend to think of them more as"cups") before I pack my gear for a tour.  The grease, coupled with swinging my foot fore and aft a few times after the pins are engaged and before stomping th heels down as Greg suggests, seem to always take care of the "ice in the boot hole" issue for me.

As Greg points out, swinging the foot really does "drill out" the ice from the holes with the pins.  If you look closely the pins they have a little radial slot in them (at least most of them do; I have one toe piece that have the "drill slot" missing on the pins) that actually turns them into a little mini "ice drill".  So if you can just get the point engaged in the ice filled boot cup (or hole, whatever you call it) and then swing your foot they will drill the ice out of the hole and seat themselves.

I also do like Tim suggests and cycle the toe pieces a time or two when I remove the skis to knock the snow out from under cross bars of the toe pieces.  I think it also facilitates things a bit to keep a coating of silicone on the bindings and especially in the pocket under the toe cross pieces.  The silicone makes the brakes work and deploy better, too.

Maybe the silicone spritz (as many of you know, I happen to have a penchant for ArmorAll) also contributes to the fact that my volcanos never seem to get plugged so tight that I can't ram the snow out the bottom with my ski pole.
