Mountaineers BC Ski / Snowboard Course...JW style

        This year I have volunteered to lead the  Mountaineers BC Ski / Snowboard Mountaineering Course formerly offered by the Seattle Mountaineers. The course is now being offered by the Foothills Branch (long story) So if any of you have a friend who needs to get into this fabulous sport, please forward this information.
        The course is taught using volunteer instructors with the goal of helping to keep people safe in the back country. I made this short video to provide a look into what the class covers, but basically it consists of seven 2.5 hour lectures, a one day field trip on basic maneuvers, and a two day overnight field trip covering snow camping and Avy one.
