Early November Turns? was created by jasonsalvo
Anyone been up to Muir or Baker recently? I'm hoping to go skiing the last weekend of Oct or the first of Nov... does anyone have any info on the work:fun ratio these days, assuming that the weather remains about the same?

There's been fresh snow since last Friday in the Cascades in general. As for route conditions, you need to look in the latest Trip Reports segment of this website for specific locations that may provide the beta you're looking for.

You may need to reevaluate that assessment... we got up high on Del Campo yesterday and could see a huge number of peaks north of Rainier. Except for some small patches of snow here and there (emphasis on the word small), we couldn't see much of any snow. Here's a photo of Sloan and Glacier Peaks we got from the summit. Glacier seemed to have some snow lower down but what we saw on Sloan was pretty typical for what we saw looking elsewhere. Lower elevation peaks had nothing at all.
