Where to go in e-washington? was created by NMaddox
I'm stuck as a student on the eastside (WSU). I saw Kam's journey to the Potholes, but other than that, does anyone know where I can go to get some Sept/Oct turns? I can't wait till Schweitzer opens up!!! I'm up for a 3-4 hour drive, but to slog down to Timberline would just hurt. Anyone? Ideas?

muir snowfield should be in fine shape after this week of rainy weather....can't be more than a few hours of driving to get to Rainier from WSU, right?

Being a fellow Coug all I can say is ROAD TRIP!
Best bet for turns on snow would be Rainier as Pete A mentioned. More like a 5-6 hour drive from Pullman to Rainier. Not bad at all considering that an individual from Tahoe made the 10 hour drive to ride freshies on Timberline last weekend. 20 hours of driving for 5 or so hours of sliding. That's fuggin dedication for you.
Make sure to stop at the dunes off 26 as mentioned in Pete A's link.
Good Luck!

I may be going up to Kokanee Glacier, just north of Nelson, BC for my October turns. I've heard that the Kootenay region has some snow up high. Google it or email me if you want some info...
