Chinook Pass op Alpental area

Anybody know if there is any snow left in either of these areas??

I was up at Chinook last Sunday with my kids. Its just patches, some a few hundred yards long but not really enough to do anything serious. My daughter had fun.......

Kinda near Alpental if you want a nice hike for 400 feet or so of vertical? This is in the Chair Peak Basin 10 days ago. The snow pack was deep, but no guarantees with the warm weather.

Looks like Tony snaked my line in prime conditions!

I swear I didn't!!  We climbed Chair Peak a week and a half ago and that line went all the way down into the basin.  Nice steep line, esp. at the top (not shown in the photo), but short.  I think it's probably closer to 600 feet of vertical.  We left the skis at home, so it's all yours Sky!

I climbed the East Face on the 4th of July. Don't have any skiing plans on that one.

There was still a lot of snow in the basin.
