Accommodation near Cottonwood, Salt Lake. Jan 2007

Hi,
I'm planning a back country ski trip to near Salt Lake. We're coming over from Italy. Probably about 10 of us in the group. What's the cheapest accommodation option available to get access to the Cottonwood (Central Wasatch?) area?
Any help or advice appreciated.

we have stayed at best western cottontree inn. Bland mall hotel but cheap package deal with rental car and lift tickets and (barely) palatable breakfast for lift skiing. they won't count and you could pack people into a room. maybe not so attractive for straight bc. It' megamall-itis territory in beautiful Sandy but its close to the goods.

February 2005 I stayed at a Motel 6 near the freeway, (Interstate 15 I think), near Sandy Utah. It was $33.95 for a single. (in 1971 it was $4.95 a nite for 4 beds, such a deal) I'm not sure but Motel 6 may charge more for more people in the room but they didn't seem to pay much attention to who was coming and going. This was for a room only. No package deal that I know of. Good luck
