Olympics - Day Trip Suggestion?

Going to be near the Olympics (Keyport) this weekend and am looking for a quick day trip to feed the ski fix. Does anyone have any beta on anything within striking distance that is holding snow?

Mt. Deception/Surprise Basin, via Royal Creek/Royal Basin, ought to have a lot of enticing slopes right now. However, it's probably too long for a day trip. Take a look at the map and see what you think.
