Slope gauges for topo maps was created by Larry_R
A couple of people at the Crystal Fest suggested that I post some of the graphics for my slope gauges and assured me that they would not be considered just another example of the whacked out stuff I somehow keep coming up with. We'll see.... 
I hope the PDF file below is self explanatory. I got the idea from something I found in the snow a number of years ago, but found that version very difficult for me to use. So kept changing the layout and presentation until I liked it. The line spacing is generated mathmatically in Excel, so it's fairly easy to create scales for different maps. The PDF file however is only a graphic exported from Excel, so no need to worry about all that.
