On the drive up to Salmon La Sac this week, I was impressed by the amount of snow on the south face of Red Mtn. Last year it was completely bare all season. Here's a pic:<br><br>

The high point (on the left) is just SE of point 5703. NGS Topo says that the descent is 2800 feet with an average slope angle of 31 degrees and a max of ~41 deg.
I don't know if this slope (avalanche chute!) has ever been skied; it wouldn't be the safest thing to do that I can think of. Nonetheless, there might be a few TAYers out there who might want to know about these things. :)
