You might get more answers over at snowboardseattle.com as I don't think many of the folks here on this forum are snowboarders.

I have not bought a new snowboard since '94 and the used boards I've purchased have been through craigslist.com or ebay. You might want to try play-it-again sports as they generally will have a good used selection.

Price depends on what your looking for, but you can get a good used board for $100 or less no problem. If your just learning you should hold off on the climbing for awhile.

Good Luck.I'm a new comer and need help finding out where to buy good snowboards, what's a reasonable price, how to get trained, enthusiastic partners to go climbing, and so on ???
If one or more of you can make a climber/skier out of me, I'll owe you a new snowboard!!!!!
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Welcome, ImNew.
Believe it or not, almost everyone here has been in your shoes. As Jack points out there is more skiers here than boarders, but we still have lots of boarders going out on our trips with us.
Lots of way to get things started but one of the more reliable is through the membership of one of the outdoor organizations here in the PNW.
I got started in backcountry skiing by enrolling in courses offered by the MOUNTAINEERS .
Info about specific classes and trips and trips can be found at the Seattle Mountaineers SKIING page. Beginner courses are available for both skiers and snowboarders that help you figure out what equipment to buy, where to buy it, how to use it and once you learn how to use it, trips that you can go on. In the process you will meet like minded folks to go out with and enjoy the mountains with. Once at that level you will start easily meeting compatible TAYers to also ski with.

In addition to the Mountaineers, there is the Washington Alpine Club. Other TAY posters are members and may be able to help you out with info on their club. There is another organization or two that could fit your needs, but the names escape me. Others here may be able to help us out with them as well.I'm a new comer and need help finding out where to buy good snowboards, what's a reasonable price, how to get trained, enthusiastic partners to go climbing, and so on ???
If one or more of you can make a climber/skier out of me, I'll owe you a new snowboard!!!!!
Any help is greatly appreciated.
