Yeah, I imagine the traffic flow management came about due to pressure from businesses. I imagine they would rather wait in line for two hours than have the pass close at 900K/hour. Sucks for those who don't lose money when the pass closes though.
I have heard this does have ALOT to do with the trucks. <br><br>They seem to be responsible for a large number of the pass closing accidents because they refuse to chain up when they are required to. Some only chain the side of the truck that they think will be facing a trooper.<br><br>As mej says - it sucks for those of us who are actually prepared for winter driving.
