Looks like the moisture has returned. Lets pray things stay wet( I finally cleaned the yard cleaned today ) and cold. After the last couple of dry weeks a good dump should put a lot of smiles on our faces and liven up tay posts. Wax and gear post are just filler for the powder days. Hopefully no more Ice patrols. \
T

Went skiing today, at Crystal... deep, deep snow. Some of it seemed like powder, some like mashed potatos, mostly powder. Snowed heavily all day. Calm earlier in the day, a freaking blizzard towards the end of the day. At noon it was calm with large flakes falling.

Did I say winds were calm... well when I got up to the Green Valley ridge, got blasted from the Mt. Rainier direction. Visibility was so bad from the fog and blowing snow, I retreated down the Lucky Shot cat track which was getting super blasted with deep show. Later in the day the blizzard was blowing in from the down hill side. All snow tracks disappeared under wind blown snow.

Loved skiing in this stuff. A little harder work. My tips only dived once at the bottom of the hill near the Rex. I am so used to my Pocket Rockets riding on top I forgot that sometimes I still need to sit back a little at the bottom of a slope.

I don't consider myself a strong skier, but a good ripping strong powder skier would have had a good stomping workout today. I just love real snow.

Avy charges going off all day. The Avy conditions must be max right now.
