Thanks everyone for the kind comments.<br><br>

Only little suggestion might be to make the box that the data is displayed in a little wider (is it just my browser?)

<br><br>Done. The box should now scale to fit the full browser width (minus the right/left margins). I've also revised the way the data is displayed to show the current data first before the 10-day data, and added links to display the past 10 days of mountain weather and avy forecasts (not concatenated together).<br><br><br>

Also, if you're tired of looking at little columns of text, you can see all ten days of data in a single graph at powderstash.com

<br><br>I like the PowderStash graphs, I've used them occasionally over the years. Obviously a lot more work went into writing that program than my simple data scraper. If I might make a suggestion, you should add the ability to show snowfall and base depth on the same plot (perhaps a second "Show ALL Data" button which shows all five traces). This would be especially useful for sites like Green Valley which have no precip or wind data. It might make the graphs too cluttered for some sites, but maybe the graphs could get taller/wider as well (average monitor size has grown quite a bit since 2003).<br><br>

Excellent work from both of you! Amar - one suggestion is to display the concatenated data in reverse chronological order - just a personal preference....Thanks

Thanks Amar, for concatenating all the info into one click! I agree with Russ, reverse chronology is most helpful, if the code is easy and processing quick.

Nice work, Amar. Thanks!<br><br>Is it possible to freeze the top few rows so that the column labels are always visible as you scroll down through the data?<br>

Oh, and, in case ya'll haven't seen this great site yet ---<br><br> slum.dyndns.org:8090/plots/plots.html

Similar to PowderStash, but it plots all data on separate charts.

<br>That's my site. The hourly plots only show the last six to seven days of data, but at slum.dyndns.org:8090/pg/generator up to 21 days of data can be plotted on request. That's not just the last 21 days, but any time period going back to last October when I started scraping. At the generator page you can also request a CSV of the (almost) raw data, ready to be imported into a spreadsheet or database. There's no time limit on those, so you can request all the data if you want.

You can bypass the html/javascript interface with a URL like this:
slum.dyndns.org:8090/pg/data_request?sta...=2006-Mar-1&type=csv

That URL returns a JSON object like this:
{"fields":{"station":true,"date2":true,"date1":true,"type":true},"csv":"/csv/osomtb1043.csv","time":"3.86"}

So the CSV is at slum.dyndns.org:8090/csv/osomtb1043.csv

Custom plots and CSVs are deleted from the server two days after they are generated. I also welcome any suggestions.

David
