I have noticed that when I am at ski resorts I am looking over my shoulder for the "out of control" person that might whack me. I normally don't have that concern in the backcountry.

Except, of course, when I might be skiing backcountry nearby.

I generally ski 50+ days per season, including a three or four days at ski resorts; usually, these are half-days due to some combination of late awakening (a specialty of mine), injury or sheer boredom.

Well ,About 60 /40 backcountry. It would be more backcountry oriented if I deducted ski instruction. Mrs Robie is a lift skier so that accounts for lift served days as well. I enjoy both. What's not to like about skiing sunny spring days with the one you love skiing till noon and then partaking of a fine lunch.
Life choices are tough!
