Charles, I'm wondering if hackers have developed automated programs that can join sites like TAY. For the last week or two some rather strange posts have been appearing on the forum overnight. First time posters. Topics have been sex, drugs, and I'm waiting for the rock and roll. :)

Some have links that probably go to websites that could be dangerous.

Is there a way that you can filter these things out?

Larry
Yes, the TRs seem to have become a target of advertising spammers. So far (including today's post) there have been four of these. I get them deleted as soon as I know of them (after recording the IP number and apparent email address). The email addresses used all have a xxx.ru address - what's that, Romaina? The posts all seem to occur early in the morning our time (most around 3am, this recent one about 6am). If this continues to be a problem I think that the registration procedure will have to be changed so that registration will have to be confirmed from an email, rather than the truly instant registration we have now. If you notice a spam post the best thing to do is to send me a message about it using the contact link at the bottom of every TRs page (and don't reply to the post or visit the link(s) in the post - if you click a link in the post then the web site you go to will know that you came from the TRs via the referrer info sent when clicking the link). The price of growth??
