Amusing, but . . . the last issue of The Avalanche Review focused on outreach to snowmobilers, emphasizing that for credibility an avalanche instructor or forecaster has to actually be good at high-angle snowmobiling, which it turns out is: quite difficult to do well. (Although as the great Dr. Johnson would have retorted were he alive today and also a backcountry skier, ""Difficult do you call it, Sir? I wish it were impossible.")
