Competing for highest lift ticket prices

Here's an interesting link about ski areas in Colorado competing to have the highest lift ticket prices in the US. Prices are topping $80 for a daily lift ticket. It makes me appreciate the backcountry even more, and adds a little more fuel to the fire for ditching my snowshoes and buying a splitboard.<br><br> www.cnn.com/2005/TRAVEL/12/12/bi.skiing....prices.ap/index.html

This is why (essentially) no-one in CO actually skis these resorts. So much great snow elsewhere....
