What is the ratio of AT to Telemark skiers?

On a side note, I remember one of the first snowboarders I ever saw calling us shitters. Supper highly intensified turbo tele electrified rippin skiers. Ha. I thought I'd pass that along.

<br><br><br>Never heard that one before- I like it. <br><br>I agree with Jerm about the influence of mountaineering on BC equipment. Chamonix is great example- AT skiers far outnumber SHITTERS. I also think that Fritschi bindings, and before that Alpine Trekkers, made it way more enjoyable for alpine skiers to venture into the backcountry.

I used to alpine ski 10 years ago and have been telemarking since then. I skiied on an AT set-up today and I don't think I am going to telemark this year. As others have pointed out, AT gear is lighter, more stable, and more efficient. I ski the Eastern Sierra Nevada. <br><br>
