We rode our cross country skis in there last year. They were not open but were having some type of party.

Looked like mostly steeper terrain. I'm not sure of the stats but it looked more like a place for advanced and expert skiers. We were skiing cross country trails that are accessible from the base area. www.skitheloup.com/

From the trail map it looks like they have green runs down from the top for beginners.

Anyone been to Loup Loup near Twisp? Just curious what it is like.....

Loup Loup Ski Bowl is a great little ski hill.Base elevation is 4500',1300 vert..Piston Bully groomers,1 quad,1poma,1rope in front of an old forest service lodge. It serves the local skiers from the Okanogan and Methow valleys.Nordic network and a rope served tubeing hill.Friendly locals who are not afraid to make your aquaintance. You can leave your skies unlocked and your day pack in the lodge by the fireplace without worry.Enjoy the vibe and the view of the columbia basin from the top.Mostly int. and ex. terrain.Lean on snow now but open on wknds. and holiday.Check web for more details and expanding schedule. Seasons Greetings, X

I highly recomend Pebble creek in S. Idaho. It has some of the best in and out of bounds terrain in the N.W. when they have enough snow. they need 30" at the base and 55 at the top to make it worth your while.
I'd suggest replacing Powder Mtn. with Snowbasin. The ridge at Snowbasin, including Mt. Ogden is great hike-to terrain. Lift ticket prices are similar between the resorts, especially when you buy discount Snowbasin tickets in Ogden...Spending 3 days at Schweitzer may be a bit much. Although they did put a new drag lift up to little blue this year, as well as cut some more runs in that area. You could hit up Fernie 1 or 2 of these days? Have fun!!!!!!
