Does anyone know where to find those graphs of how freezing level changes with elevation? I think they do "soundings" (is that the right word?) with weather balloons from a few places in washington to measure this?
Trying to get an idea of temps at different elevations with this inversion.

One source is Unisys Weather , which has lots of useful weather info including archived data for the past few days. The upper air soundings are at weather.unisys.com/upper_air/skew/ , along with info on how to read the Skew T plots.

The current Quillayute, WA (KUIL) sounding shows a large temperature inversion of about 13 C (23 F) from sea level to 660 m (2200 ft), while Salem, OR (KSLE) shows an even more impressive rise of 18 C (32 F) from ground level to 1100 m (3600 ft).
I don't have the links you are looking for, but I think that the telemetry data might provide a good indication of the actual conditions where it counts - ie. the snow surface. Yesterday there was a good east flow and Snoqualmie stations only got to the upper 30s. Paradise got to 60. Today it looks like the flow at Snoqualmie has started reversing and the temps are climbing accordingly. Sno-tel stations could probably add even more details but I haven't checked them today.

Thanks guys... The telemetry is always helpful, but most of that is low elevation.
The Unisys thing gets me what I wanted :-)
The UW Atmos dept. has a good site with soundings and more. www.atmos.washington.edu
