I had a pair of Atomic R-EX's (short ones, 168cm ) that I mounted Fritschis on TWO cm front of boot center. I don't tele as much but I believe the internet advce I've seen that it's most common to just go with CC, and if anything go forward. Going back increases stability with speed which a racer might like, but at cost of turnability, doesn't seem like the right tradeoff for typical NW offpiste.<br>As far as Atomics, and where to mount, I've wondered in the past whether the techs giving recommendations are factoring in the characteristics of the channels in the shovel, which if they are air-filled are going to skew a weight-balance vs a surface area determination and make it seem like you should be mounting farther back if you use the weight-center method.

For what it's worth, I mounted my TM:X's at boot center and find myself wishing they were a bit back. Not sure if that would really change much or not...
