Dynafit Skiis '06

A friend of mine skied a prototype Baker last year and liked them a lot. Great powder ski but still good with the turns.

I'm thinking to get them just for spring skiing when I have to hike. <br><br><br>Oh and saw that REI is carrying the Dynafit TLT Comfort binding this year (but they haven't received it yet from LifeLink).

<br><br>Well, yesterday I went into ProSki and found myself staring at about 4 pairs of the Dynafit FR10s. Well...after playing with them a bit I handed over my Mt. Bakers. I was just excited about the Dynafit skis - something I cant say about the Bakers. The FR10s are light but not too light - feel kind of like the Shuksans in hand. I believe the 178s were 3 lbs 7 ounces. <br><br>They seemed a bit stiffer than the Bakers and seemed pretty lively while just bending them around - ye ole shop hand test. Lately I have been moving towards stiffer skis (Ak Launcher to B3 for instance) so the move to the FR10 makes some sense.<br>

Glad to hear it, sounds good. Pro Ski is holding the FR 10s that I ordered and bought (I live far away and will get them later...I just called and heard they already sold 3 of 4 pairs of FR 10).<br><br>I ordered 60/40 mohair/nylon skins from Telemark-Pyrenees for the FR 10s. I have mohair skins from my old rando skis that I use on my skinny tele skis, mohair has noticeably less drag when hiking. <br><br>There is snow up on the ridges...yippee!
