Paradise and Sunrise are back on-line (in time for the Tractor Tavern). Thanks!

I'm thankful too that Paradise and Sunrise data is again available. It looks like the Crater Lake site got a sponsor and is also back.

Going through October with new snow falling (at least up higher) but no telemetry data from Paradise reminded me how important the telemetry station is at that location. Even when the snow levels are low I find that the Paradise data is very useful, with that location being significantly west of the Crest and thus with often different influences from the bulk of the stations along the Crest. And in the spring and summer, the Paradise station can give a good indication of the conditions which may be found on different sides of the Mountain.

Garth (or any other NWACers), can you give us any suggestions about what we could do to help with the funding issues which came up this fall? Obviously people could donate directly through FOAC, but I'm also thinking about ways to put pressure and show support for government funding. Who, or what government division(s), would be most appropriate to contact regarding the funding issue?

Crater Laker's telemetry now displays at the top, "System unavailable for 2005-06".
