Strategies for September (and October?)

I moved out to the Pacific Northwest back in January, and have been enjoying reading this website quite a bit. This is my first posting however. I do have a suggestion for a potentially good ski location. My wife and I went backpacking up to Jefferson Park this past weekend, and hiked up to the base of the Whitewater glacier on the east side of Mt. Jefferson. There's a great looking run, that looks to be over 1,000' vertical and largely free of crevasses on the north side of the glacier. It's a long approach, but would make a great overnight trip. It's roughly 7 miles and 4,000' climb to get to the base of the run. Here's the best picture I have of it, with Sara in the foreground. No, I lifted the url of you photos from the failed hotlink. I suspect the site where you have you photos posted does not allow "hotlinking". That may be why all we see is the red X.

I've wanted to get late season turns on Jefferson. The hike and drive length have been a detterent, but maybe next year.
