Where to find the Snow?? was created by ultragrrl
So, I am on the path to my first 12 pack (9 down, 3 to go) and I need to get August taken care of this weekend. It is looking like muir/paradise may be the best bet. Any other options? Anyone been out Ptarmigan Ridge area recently?

Thanks, Jeff.
I'm usually the only one that thinks I'm funny. I usually hear some comment about a "warped sense of humor" or the like.

Funny Ron! That made me laugh

I can't really recommend Ptarmigan Ridge, I tried it last Saturday and got only really low quality runs out of it. The Coleman Pinnacle remnants are almost all bare ice, and other remnants such as around 14-goat are even worse. I tried the very first part of the Sholes Glacier, and that was also awfully icy with a lot of terrain issues such as crevasses, very icy sidehills and rock bands.
See
a trip report
I wrote up for NWHikers. The piece of the Sholes I skied in pix 4. It was actually a very nice hike but calling it a ski trip woulda been an oversell.
