August turns... was created by Sam Avaiusini
I haven't been out since our Mowich Face shenanigans in mid-July. But I have a cousin coming in from out of town and he's wanting to ski...
I'm thinking the Easton Glacier or maybe the Russell. Has anyone got a better idea for high-yield August turns on a day trip? The Boulder Park is another option, but that's more schlep than my cousin is going to want, probably.
Has anyone been up to the Easton or Russell in the past week? Any suggestions?

Sam - I'd say in terms of crevasses (assuming that's what your concerned with and not the PHW), the Easton is probably in worse shape than Boulder-Park (south facing, etc.). I remember in August '03 with Sky & Amar, the Easton was CRAZY crumbled and there was actually an "uphill" bridge to cross on the way down. Of course, only Sky was interested in that adrenaline booster!

Glacier Peak is a long haul, but the Cool Glacier definitely goes right now (Looking from the top of Mt. David north of Lk. Wenatchee 1.5 weeks ago).

Thanks everyone (slut, Dave, Ron) for the response. I have a pretty good idea now where to head.
