Don't let it happen to you!

Michael, If you were up there on Sunday the 17th that was me on that very warm day. Did not even need second layer relaxing/recovering on the summit area. First part of roman wall was perfection then the crust turned to heavy mush. Below 8000 it became much better. Was able to ski down to 5880'. Beautiful flower fields as a bonus on the way out.

Had to go back huh NickD. I know the feeling.<br>Although I haven't skied since that powder day.<br>I'm tossing the idea around for this weekend. However there are still a few hikes we need to get done up on SR542.

Hey Corey, I was wondering why we hadn't heard anything about your skiing exploits for a while. Too bad about the streak, but it's definitely not the end of the world. I could end up breaking my streak in September (gasp...). I'll have to see how motivated I am relative to the snow situation at the time. Now if we were to have another September like the last one, I'd ski for sure. But even if I break my streak, I will keep this site going, so it should not be the end of the world for me or for others who frequent the TRs.

As Mark suggested several days ago, turns are to be had with a relatively short walk to the Ptarmigan Ridge. My son and I got our August turns on day 1 (last Monday).
