Does anyone know about skiing the Boulder glacier route on Baker? As I recall most of the climb is on a ridge just North of the glacier. Would this be a reasonably safe ski run, right now? No gaping crevasses and such?

Thanks in advance for any responses to my query.

The route you are thinking of is more accurately known as the Boulder-Park Cleaver. There are minimal, if any, crevasses on the cleaver proper (which ends at approximately 9k). I would guess that it's very nice right now.

I did the route on the 5th of July, last year and it was in fine shape. I'd suspect that there are some gapers opening up above the cleaver by now, but they should be pretty negotiable. My TR from that trip is

if you want to have a look. I also have a satellite photo in there, so you can see where the cracks are. Email me if you have any questions.
