i'm eager to test the versatility of reverse sidecut on snow as it transitions to water. Ron J and JW: any word on the water level of the Slush Cup Pond? has anyone else been up there, and can report?

Hey Kam, there was a really nice slush pond just beginning to melt in the east-facing cirque off the summit of Robinson... you could get away from all this west-of-the-crest drizzle, find a nice change of scenery, and ski the slush to your heart's content!

Well, we got distracted Sunday and didn't make it over there. Nonetheless, from the looks of what's left of the Pinnacle, or at least what can be seen from the Rainier side,
http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0TQAAANkWMm!eHRoXi6CelfmtC27TzRwyTer4oJMYkzI4fUeOghzD4eV6jQsSluGx!8AhUbbGKqz2NPzkYke1ZOHxAcNixZ8kUpZCwkn6hEsTwnCEl4tqcw/IMG_1327.jpg?dc=4675529537829416331
I'd say there's still enough of a line left to get a good head of steam to make it across the pond (which, BTW, cannot be seen in this pic; it's tucked in just on the other side and slightly left of the mound right inthe middle of the bowl).
My guess from this pic is that the pond is appropriately thawed and ready for your water skis, Kam.
The only question that remains now is when does everyone want to get soaked?
