Snow depth at Nisqually River Bridge?

To those that have been up in MRNP lately....Is there enough snow to ski to the bridge?<br><br>Thanks....

If you don't mind skiing on snow-dusted boulders, then yes! I was a bit astonished at how rocky the Nisqually valley above the bridge looked last Sunday. It could probably use at least an additional 3+ feet of cover to make the skiing worthwhile.<br>--Chris

A trip down from the glacier to the bridge would probably be a doable trip on a D-9 Catapillar.<br>Serioulsy, the river and all the rocks are visible under a thin layer of snow (2 to 6 inches?) all the way up to the snout of the glacier. Not a pretty sight.<br>It looks better than that above Paradise, but, nonetheless, a dismal snow year. We're crossing our fingers for dumpage in March & April though, eh?
