Heheh. That photo must've been taken back in the days when it used to snow all winter. Hard to recognize even the peak itself, much less the top secret, heavily-disguised, well-defended skier routes in question.
Mark - it is looking doubtful for my travelling north with Silas but I do hope to hook up with you at some point soon if not tomorrrow. I've had too many near misses to give up now. Plus, I figure I can learn a few new Baker routes from you if I'm adequately gracious (plus I like hearing you talk so much of working the late shift - man of my style)...

I hope you guys get good viz for some BIG lines!

Wow. That DVD certainly blows away the idea I had for a 24x36" poster. Same thing- nice photo of the Arm with colored tints showing "danger" & text labeling notable features & runs. Kind of like your typical ski area trail map with a rather large "Don't sue me" disclaimer..

The Baker BC DVD is a awesome idea and probably inevitable considering how easy it is for backcountry enthusiasts to share their discoveries with the Whole World in seconds. A note of caution though, when alpental.com burst onto the world wide web it's creator mysteriously disapeared, never to be seen in the Alpental valley again.
