Hood and Alpental Rando Rallys - both cancelled

I've been thinking about entering the Alpental rally (assuming it doesn't get cancelled)... if that is a good experience, I might be convinced to go try this Hood thing on a split...

...now lists the Alpental race as cancelled.
(I guess this isn't terribly surprising, but now it's official.)
Must be a conspiracy to deny me a chance at the Big Time after my results in the first two rando races ever held in the east.
Or to prevent me from embarrassing myself against a truly competitive field...

Bummer. I just got the skins-on-and-switch-to-touring-mode move without taking the skis off down . . .

I just returned from my gear closet where I broke the news to my Dynafits. They didn't take it well at all . . . they were so grief-stricken they just sat there completely motionless and expressionless, they acted so withdrawn it was almost as if they were inanimate objects.

Darn. &gt;<br><br>What am I going to do with my new pair of lightweight Dynafit bindings that I bought for 40% off? I may just have to take them back.<br><br>
