I'm sure you've all seen it:

Sunday night: Mostly cloudy. Chance of rain. Snow level 5000 feet. Southwest wind in the passes 10 to 15 mph.

Martin luther king jr day: Rain likely. Snow level 5000 feet. Afternoon pass temperatures in the lower 30s.

Monday night: Rain likely. Snow level 7000 feet.

Tuesday: Rain likely. Snow level 7000 feet.

Tuesday night: Rain likely. Snow level 6500 feet.

Wednesday: Rain likely. Snow level 6500 feet.

Wednesday night: Rain likely. Snow level 6500 feet.

Thursday: Rain likely. Snow level 6500 feet.

Thursday night: Rain likely. Snow level 6500 feet.

Friday: Rain likely. Snow level 6500 feet.

Yes, I'm sure there'll be some higher altitude stuff that will be fun this spring (meaning March only, at this rate), but if this plays out as it looks, will it kill the lift season everywhere but Baker? Very depressing.

The upside to all that rain that it will consolidate the weak layers in the snow pack. (ducking and running)

Are you sure there is really a "season" to kill?

Everywhere but Baker?? I venture to guess that even Mt. Baker ski area will be closed after this week. Or at least not worth your time. The N. Cascades may get the heaviest rains, with 2-3 inches on Tues. alone.
