Nov. 18, 2004, Rebirth of St Helens was created by snoslut
Hey did anyone catch the news last night. Geoligist are predicting that at it's current rate of magma displacement, which is a dump truck load per second, St Helens will be at its original size before eruption in 11.5 years. Within half that time the lava dome will fill the whole crater. No more crater descents then. >:(

that's a massive amount of material in a very short amount of time! It's cool to think that the mountain could be back to it's old size in our lifetimes...<br>I can't wait to lay some tracks on a "factory-reconditioned" volcano! 8)

You know what this means... During some narrow time window, the world's largest kicker will form at the old crater lip!
