Weekend Mountain Weather was created by J.P.
I know it's way too early for holiday weekend forecasts to mean much right now, but the latest NOAA weather radio forecast and forecast discussion (below) suggest snow levels down to at or below 4,500' with significant accumulation along the crest Thurs and into Friday.

With likely sun and warming to follow as high pressure builds quickly Saturday, it seems that if the forecast is on target, additional caution may be in order for all of us planning to get out or up high this weekend.

Stay safe all!

Exerpt from NOAA below (link to Forecast Discussion under the Weather Links Tab above):

"...AND THE SNOW LEVEL PROBABLY FALLS BELOW THE HIGHER
PASSES. SHUD BE A SITUATION WHERE IT SNOWS PRETTY GOOD UP ON THE
CREST...BUT DOESN'T STICK TOO MUCH TO THE LOWER PASSES...AT LEAST
WITH DAYTIME INSOLATION."

As I've cross-posted on TTips and CC, NWAC has issued a special statement for this weekend:
