We may not be rid of Matthaeus so easily; when I talked to him on Saturday, he said he loved the NW and was working on getting transferred to his company's Redmond, WA branch permanently (where he's been training the last few months . . . said his girlfriend would love it here too, as the proximity to the mountains sure beats the 4-5 hour drive from his home in Germany to the Alps. Let's wish him luck and hope to see him on the slopes next season!
