Was wondering if Asgard Pass was a good tour. Seems like about now, or maybe even a couple of weeks ago would be a good time for it based on E side snow pack and the road being open.

Since it's in the shade so much, does it tend to be icy or otherwise manky conditions more often than not? And is there any particular slide danger due to the long upslope and total absence of tree or terrain anchors? Do folks tend to skin or boot it?
