Resurrection of an old thread. Look at the dates ..2002 AND look who posted on such a frivolous and negative ( if humorous)subject.
I remember getting castigated by the very same people for starting a frivolous thread about "smugness" and being lectured publicly by ronJ on how TAY was supposed to be for serious exchanges of snow/skiing knowledge.
What hypocrites!!!!!
Thanks for resurrecting this thread davidg.

TAY is three months old.
Robie (one day after registering on the site) posts a silly (but rather tame) list to help "get this thing going."
I wonder how many registered users TAY had then. Probably not more than a few dozen.
Different world. But fun to remember...

fun to remember...
.....or to snipe about.
I'm fascinated to note that Mad Dog beat me signing up by three days. How'd she manage?

I suspect you're in a minority of one, there Scotsman. I believe this thread was neither frivolous nor negative, but rather a stab at building community. It's good to laugh at ones' self from time to time, even with the clan in attendance.
Actually, what interested me about this old thread, besides some self effacing humor, was the reference to how much the snowboarding aspect of BC play has changed - they practically weren't on the landscape then, only 10ish years ago
New Chris same as the old Chris? tsk, tsk. Dig the rest of your stoke, though..
