Seattle area touring partners was created by engineer
I'm looking for someone for general touring in the Seattle area this winter. I work a classic 9ish-to-5ish so am mostly available on the weekends or for dawn patrol, though ducking out early on Friday afternoon is also a possibility. I'm generally cautious and risk-averse but not opposed to bigger objectives when the timing feels right and with the right partner(s).

Feel free to reply in this thread or send a PM if you're interested.

Andrew

Hey there! I'm in the same boat, would love build some more consistent partners this year with a little bit more experience than some of my friends who are new to touring.

I have 3 years of touring experience, and a fair bit of experience with mountaineering, rock climbing, and being in the mountains. I like a mix of big and small days, and am pretty conservative when it comes to picking days for bigger objectives. I have some moderate ski mountaineering aspirations (I've skied Adams and Stuart, for example) but I'm always game to dial things back and just have some fun storm skiing in low-angle pow.

I'm mostly a weekend warrior, but take a few week-long blocks of time off to ski every winter and work is flexible enough for me to take off the occasional weekday powder day. I'm Seattle-based but am game to do day trips anywhere between Heather Meadows and Paradise. I'm also interested in the occasional Snoqualminix dawn patrol.

If this sounds like a good fit for you (or anyone else who stumbles upon this), shoot me This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.!

Hi Andrew,
I'm also in the Seattle area and interested in finding partners for weekends (Fridays work for me too). Feel free to get in touch if you'd like to link up for something around Snoqualmie Pass or elsewhere.

It looks like you’ve had several replies. I would love to also be counted in if you’re planning some weekend projects. I also work a 9-5, but am likewise game for weekends or early Friday exits, as well as both day trips or overnight touring.

Hey All, also a 9-5 weekend warrior. Wanted to toss my hat in the ring and get added to whatever group chat you have going. Id be interested in meeting up, making more friends, and doing some beacon practice this weekend if others are.
