Ski Report - Big Sunny, Great Grooming on the
groomers we did, still pretty cold...wore full winter body
armor and the head bucket...ouch! for spring...but there was
still nice packed cold snow in the shady areas of FQex...and
the sunny icy runs still skied nicely with big slush
exploding on direct sunny slopes...Did do a couple of LS runs
mid to late morning during #1's break time...it still is skiing
nicely but the last steep pitch was a mess. Saw nice turns being
made in PB and everything south of CH 6 was completely skied out,
especially the King.
Other - Passed thru and empty CB lodge...Fish Shack was getting
ready to fire up...Checked pizza at the base...better looking
than yesterday's Hamburger pizza (had lots of pickles? on Pizza?)
Other Other - We rode the bucket up top for #1's first ski season
views from up there...pleasant since the loading had mellowed and
we got a bucket up and down that I could walk around in...luv that...
first ride for me also in the bucket.
Other Other Other - Special folks' lot was crammed (to small again
this season) rest of A lot was pushing way past a 1/3, B and C had
lots of cars but not as many as yesterday. Drive up early and mostly
pleasant as was the drive down...not many Elk noticed today...Had
fun...duh? #1 had a really good probably last day of this marginal
season.
