Ski Report - What a great Fools day.
To many more words ski report - Skied all morning at Blackcomb which had 2-6 new of nice quality snow up
high and wind loading. Early Jersey a few fun pow runs and then Glacier for big vert and then over to do what
was already kinda early left overs on Crystal chair. Fairly pleasant crowd size, but it was a while before I got a solo
chair ride. Big crowds standing at the top of Spanky's and any other big local skier area. Mid day decided to try the
P2P ride over to Whistler....got a almost empty bucket...rush hour was heading from Whistler to Black. After checking
out conditions and foods at the Round House...decided to try out Peak Chair...nice solo ride and there was a reason
for that! Impressive nasty weird conditions up top and howling winds and bad vis and only a couple of ways off the top.
Headed to the easy way...The Saddle made me tense!...Survived! One run down to bottom of Red chair and decided to
ride the P2P back to the nice mellow side. Quads where whining...so one run on Glacier...back up top and take the big
beater to the base...and it was a beater today...many quad resting stops...big spring mush mid mountain to the base...
twas better than expected and noticed lots of bodies on the slopes.
Other - Picked up a Chicken Pesto wrap at Rendezvous and then noticed at Roundhouse the kinda sandwiches to go
that I like...maybe tomorrow. Lot more food options at the Roundhouse.
Other Other - I have two Avocet watches (thanks to CD...got any left overs still CMSkier) so I turned one off for the P2P
ride...3K diff between the two watches.
Other Other Other - Weather was mostly high over cast clouds with fog in places and some almost sun breaks. Was
warmest day yet and also more wind....and PS my quads do hurt since today was the first 3rd day in a row...in a long
time. It was very fun and got one more day with #1 tomorrow with maybe some overnight snow.
