Ski Report - Ouch my quads...first day in two weeks??? How did that happen...
Anyway, mostly locals for first load on CHex...we got a empty chair a minute
after opening....#1 off to FQex...I was selfish and went up REX for 4 laps on
LS using the front side cat track. Kinda looked like the grey skies where
arriving early so headed over to FQex to look for #1...got lucky...skied
Magoo which was very nice since not many folks had ripped it up...better
than Queens and Downhill when I finally did those runs. LS was very nice,
firm first run, but every run after was softer and more buttery. Rock and
dirt is popping out (kinda looks like end of April), but all in all still
a mighty fine day to carve some turns and work the quads. Ultra light crowd.
Other - No pizza report! CB lodge had no warm food options (rumor was not
any more on weekdays?). Was to lazy to check the base Cafeteria.
Other Other - When we left ultra early (with sad hurting quads), Special
folks lot was 2/3 full maybe, A lot was pushing was past a 1/3...B lot
had cars up to the Honey Bucket station and C cars were clustered around
its Honey Bucket station. Drive up this morning was later than normal and
very casual at speed...noticed a few elk somewhere? Drive down was mostly
pleasant.
Other Other Other - Amazing how much snow fell on the whole 410 road...plus
trees everywhere...what a mess.
