Ski Report - Big Blue Bird day with a finally normal
weekday crowd of locals for first lift! Felt cold to me early
even with the inversion but it warmed up fast enough. Sun
facing slopes on LS were happy spring(?) mush in the first
hour. Grooming was mostly okay...except for the cat tracks
from the top to LS! Ouch the front side cat track was okay....
but? Heard lots of comments about how "nice" the backside
cat track was today? What? Everything else I skied during
my wimpy short morning was pleasant...LS and then one
run down Queens to Snowgarden to Slow Silver for #1 and
my last run (very nice). Thought about MIFB but wimped
out. Rocks and dirt and brush are all popping out...hopefully
the big cool down and precip helps this week.
Other - Bailed over to FQex during the typical morning
late arrival rush hour (10:30), but it didn't show up...
Checked out the Pizza situation at CB lodge and lordy!
They were making very good pizza (got my Barby chicken
with half in the fridge). As noted I left early with
happy sore quads.
Other Other - Drive up typically to early and happily
empty of traffic....and since #1 didn't go I only noticed
a couple of distant Elk today. Special folks lot had
cars and maybe still space, A lot was pushing hard on half
full, B made it to the Honey Bucket station and C did
not have many car pools buy cars clustered around its
Honey Bucket station...Drive down was ultra pleasant.
Had fun! Duh! Got used to my EXP's ultra sharp edges (well
edges). Did lots of turning...not downhill racing...which
is good for my old quads.
