Took yesterday off due to forecasted high winds possibly affecting lift operations. Drove into Glacier, then spent the afternoon poking around town. Today was a very high overcast with occasional sun breaks. Cold on top and the afternoon got a little windy. Everything was firmer today and a lot of the off-piste has been scraped off were heavily traveled. The groomers are ripping. It was busy again today and the locals we talked to were surprised by the crowds this week. But, they did get 2 feet of snow last week, so pent-up demand and people traveling from further west to get better snow. After LD went in today, I dropped into Hellroaring Basin. Snow was good, but I should have followed a local in. Got myself into a predicament that required several butt-pucker moves to get out. More exploration of that area tomorrow as it isn’t skied as much due to the terrain and slow triple chair to get out.
