Ski Report - Coldest day I've had this season, even my head bucket was not that warm.
One or two new in some places I skied. Grooming was nice but scrapped down to firm
in the high traffic areas. Only skied LS via the front side cat track...thought about
the valley but by the time I wanted to it looked pretty busy on GVex chair. Really
breezy in Windy pass (duh). Skied one run on FQex...Queens over to Slow Silver slope,
skied nice and the snow quality over on Slow Silver was actually very nice with lots
of untracked areas. Every little bit of new snow is improving the quality. Partly
cloudy with snow falling early and nice and sunny when I left.
Other - Passed through CB lodge to early for food, but its open. Got a Margherita
pizza at the base which was pretty good and cold again. Base lodge was packed this
morning with all the junior huckers...never pleasant inside before they head out.
The comp today was happening on the Throne. Cam at the top of CH 6 makes getting
to the Throne look fun.
Other Other - Drove up early as usual, but in a group of cars and the drive down
was early and mostly nice. Special folks lot was bulging at the edges, rest of
A lot was maybe 1/2ish, B and C were full (with better parking control more cars
would have had room...cars getting parked in D when I left and lots of cars
heading up the Blvd.
